With Interdisciplinary Studies, it is considered the blender smoothie at UCF. It combines three different subjects to come together for an ultimate goal. My two focuses consist of Health Sciences and Communications. With Health Sciences, I am able to learn about how the body works, what causes us to get sick, and the basis of our nutrition. With Communications, I am able to take the information learned from Health Sciences and apply it to the world through what I learn in Communications.
The final piece of the smoothie is the minor, which is Medical Sociology. Medical sociology discusses certain aspects of society and how we deal with said aspect. Medical sociology learns more into the just that, the medical side of society. The courses consist of how we as society deal with Illness, Death, Aging, Food, and anything else.
